Read-A-Thon Challenge

What is it?

It is a Fundraiser to help bring a library to downtown Yamhill! It’s really fun for kids, all you have to do is read the books you love during the school year & do these four things.

Join the Read-A-Thon Challenge In Three Easy Steps

Step One: Make a Goal: It’s easy! Just think of how many books you think you can read this school year. My goal is to read 125 chapter books this year! I think I can do it! ☺

Step Two: Print a PDF: Have your parent or guardian print this booklist tracker and write down the books you read. Let us know if you liked each book by giving it stars, 5 stars means it was the best ever!

Step Three: Ask Friends & Family To Be Your Sponsors: Help me raise money for the library by asking your friends and family to be your sponsors. They can choose how much money they would like to donate for each book that you read. Below is a example.

  • 25 cents a book

  • 50 cents a book

  • 75 cents a book

  • $1 each book

Let them know what your goal number of books is, and if you reach it, they can donate the money at the end of the school year!

Win Prizes: This is the best part! Madeline’s Library is a Non-Profit Organization. That means other businesses can make donations also. If you meet your Read-A-Thon goal, I will ask other businesses to help reward kids with Amazon Gift Cards! That’s right, you can win an Amazon Gift Card of your own by reading the books that you love to read! *

*Attention parents & guardians: For readers with special needs, audio books can be counted as book too.
